Pigs mature after 10 days. The Pig will dig up [[TruffleTrüffel]]s and leave them on the ground, which sell for a base of {{Price|625}}. You do not need to stay on the farm screen for them to produce truffles.
A pig's chance of creating produce is governed by the the rules listed in the [[Animals#Produce|Produce section of Animal Care]] with three exceptions:
# They cannot produce truffles in Winter or Rain.
# They have a chance of digging up multiple truffles, which is a percent chance equal to Animal Friendship/1500. At max friendship this means they have a 66% chance of creating an additional truffle. Multiple truffles can be made until the animal fails this check.
Pigs, like all other animals except [[rabbitHase]]s, have a low chance to reproduce and can produce baby pigs. The more animals there are inside the same [[barnStall]], the higher the chance an animal will give birth.
Truffles benefit from professions such as [[Foraging#Foraging Skill|Gatherer]], allowing for double harvest, as well as [[Foraging#Foraging Skill|Botanist]], making all Truffles iridium quality. However, Truffles do not benefit from the [[Farming#Farming Skill|Rancher]] profession.
